Poker Odds Table Outs
A much easier way of calculating poker odds is the 4 and 2 method, which states you multiply your outs by 4 when you have both the turn and river to come – and with one card to go (i.e. Turn to river) you would multiply your outs by 2 instead of 4. Texas Hold'em Odds 'Outs' are unseen cards that will make any hand you expect will win the pot if they come off on the turn or river. There are 47 unseen cards on the flop. To determine your odds of making your hand, you divide your number of outs by the remaining unseen cards (that will not help your hand). An outside straight draw has 8 outs.

For example, using the Good approximation, if you have 9 Outs, then you have a 19% chance on the turn, a 19% chance on the river, and a 38% minus 19% of 19% (close to 20% of 20%, which is 4%) equals a 34% chance on the turn and river combined. How to use poker odds charts.
Poker odds charts help you to determine how much you can call when trying to complete a drawing hand, such as a flush or a straight draw. By comparing your pot odds with the odds of completing your draw, you can work out whether or not it will be profitable to call certain sized bets from your opponents.

It is perfectly possible to work out the odds of completing a draw in your head, but these odds charts make things much easier if you are looking for a quick reference or if you're just starting out. However, over time it is a good idea to learn the most common odds so that you no longer have to refer to any charts whilst you play.
